Alex Mwangi is a Financial Fitness Coach, Income and Wealth Protection Specialist, and the Founder of Cent Warrior Consulting. He empowers families, professionals and entrepreneurs to achieve financial peace and freedom by helping them master their money, grow wealth and secure their financial future.

Betty Matharu

Dean & Administrator, Joseph Business School Kenya

Betty Matharu is the Dean and Administrator of Joseph Business School (JBS) Kenya, where she equips entrepreneurs, business leaders and professionals to build sustainable, values-driven enterprises. A lifelong learner, enterprise builder, wife to James and mother of three adult children, she is passionate about helping faith-driven founders steward their gifts to create lasting impact.

Betty is known for combining strategic leadership with practical execution. Throughout her career she has taken on diverse leadership responsibilities, from academic administration and teaching to business development, sales, marketing and operations, enabling organizations to navigate growth while remaining focused on their mission.

Her entrepreneurial journey spans education, retail and sports. Alongside leading academic administration and strategic initiatives at JBS Kenya, she co-founded Kellan Montessori & Sports Centre, growing it to full enrollment within its first academic year, and founded Palm Mart Vipingo, guiding the retail business to profitability in under a year. Earlier, as Operations Director at Swim Africa Ltd, she streamlined operations across multiple business units.

He is the winner of Portraits in the News at the Nation Photography Awards 2024, Shell Motorsports Kenya Action Photographer of the Year 2025, and Gold in the Motorsports Category at the World Sport Photography Awards 2026.

Martin Maina Openda

Partner, Triage — Executive Search & Leadership Due Diligence

Martin Maina Openda is a Talent Acquisition and Organisation Development and Design practitioner with over 18 years of experience across Kenya, Tanzania, South Africa, Malaysia, the United Arab Emirates, India and Nigeria.

His practice covers the full span of TA and OD work: structural review and redesign, job analysis and evaluation, workforce planning, HR policy development, compensation benchmarking, leadership development, and the culture and change work that determines whether a new structure actually holds.

He built this practice through sustained client engagements at PwC, Ernst and Young and KPMG, and through executive search work at Boyden and Triage. Between 2022 and 2025, through Ainakiza LLP, he led independent consulting assignments for private sector and foundation clients including Sandstorm East Africa, Tovuti, Capital FM, Mastercard Foundation, Open Society Foundation and the Children's Investment Fund Foundation.

Martin is currently a Partner at Triage, an executive search and leadership due diligence firm that underwrites consequential leadership decisions made by operators, investors and boards across Africa.

Samuel Njuguna

Co-founder & CEO, Chumz

Samuel Njuguna is the co-founder and CEO of Chumz, a savings and investment app that uses behavioural psychology and gamification to guide clients on when and how to save.

Clients can save from as little as KES 5, and the platform has over 500,000 registered users. It is operational in Kenya and in Rwanda as Tunzi, with plans to scale across three markets by the end of 2026 and into another ten countries by 2028.

Samuel holds a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Nairobi. He is an avid reader, passionate about behavioural psychology, gamification and art. His favourite quote is 'Hope anchors the soul', his favourite book is Man's Search for Meaning by Viktor Frankl, and his big goal in life is establishing a primary and secondary school dedicated to supporting girls from underprivileged and remote communities across Kenya.

Gregory Wanjama Mwaura

Full Stack Software Engineer & Digital Strategist

Gregory Wanjama Mwaura is a Full Stack Software Engineer and Digital Strategist with over two decades of experience building enterprise-grade digital platforms across Africa and beyond. He serves as Lead Consultant at the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), overseeing their corporate web ecosystem, and is Co-Founder and consultant at This Is Digital, where he advises on digital product development, AI adoption, and technology strategy for African markets.

A recognized thought leader in technology, education, and entrepreneurship, he develops AI training curricula that bridge artificial intelligence with practical skills including financial literacy. He also serves on multiple boards as an advisor, leveraging his wealth of entrepreneurial experience and technological insights to help guide growth and innovation. He brings a rare combination of hands-on engineering expertise, consultancy experience, and a forward-looking perspective on how technology can drive meaningful impact across the African continent.
